On Parr returns to the New Brighton promenades Martin Parr immortalised — the same seafront, the same stubborn colour, a different girl moving through it.

The film follows a single protagonist wandering the streets in a succession of looks: bold, deadpan, quietly absurd. The fashion is the character. The location is everything else.

Shot with the saturated palette and unflinching eye that defined Parr's work, the film finds its tension in the gap between high style and a very ordinary seaside Tuesday.
